About Us

James has cultivated a lifelong passion for gardens and the natural environment, which began in his early childhood. This enduring interest led him to pursue formal education in horticulture, which he studied in Lancashire. Building on this foundation, he went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Garden Design, equipping him with both the theoretical knowledge and creative vision required to design inspiring outdoor spaces.

Over the course of his career, James has gained valuable practical experience in a variety of horticultural and design settings. He has worked on a prestigious private estate in Surrey where he was involved in the maintenance and development of the garden. His professional journey has also included roles within plant nurseries and collaborations with landscaping firms, allowing him to deepen his understanding of plant care, garden construction and sustainable design principles.

In addition to his hands-on-experience, James has shared his expertise through lecturing positions in both horticulture and garden design.

From a private studio James now dedicates his work to creating bespoke garden designs that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of his clients. His approach is grounded in horticultural science, informed by design theory and inspired by a genuine love for nature.
